Tin note is fermenting grass clippings. Reminds me of Peterson Flake but not as strong. Taste is basically a mild Virginia with grassy bready notes. I don’t taste any honey or lemon in this it all. For me the taste goes downhill as I get further down the bowl. Because of this and the fact I was hoping for more of a lemon honey taste I have to dock a star off....Read More

Tin note is typical of brighter VA. tobaccos with a slight hint of the topping. Initial light is sweet and bright with just a little bit of evidence of the added citrus. I lean toward brighter flakes (Orlik G.S., 4th Gen. 1989, Newminster VA. flake, etc.) so, overall, this suits me. The ribbon cut packs well even in larger diameter bowls. The burn is easy. I've spent all these years putting Gold Rush on the back burner just to find out ive been missing out? This stuff is great. The topping works so well with the virginias while still tasting like tobacco. Sweet, creamy, spicy, and citrus. Medium bodied. Burns cool and clean. No grassy hay crap.
